Default P0301 Misfire code

Back again but with another truck. 2005 Chevy Silverado 4.3. Driving home from work last night and engine light was flashing for 30 seconds felt sluggish, but then it went away. Hooked up the Foxwell and just came up with a pending P0301. Truck has a brand new distributor/cap/rotor, plugs and wires. Only thing i didn't change was the ignition coil and control module. My question is: will a failing ignition coil only give 1 cylinder a misfire or would it get all the cylinders to misfire at once? Truck has 219K miles. I drove the truck to work today and all was good no issues.

A failing ignition coil will affect all 6 cylinders. P0301 indicates a misfire on #1 cylinder. I would check the #1 spark plug. The porcelain may be cracked.
