Default Preventative Maintenance Prior to lowering

In the last few months I picked up a 2004 Silverado 1500 2wd with 99k miles. Im in the process of lowering this truck and making a shop truck out of it. Its in great condition but did have a ujoint going out which leads me to my question. While Im doing the lower should I be considering doing the tie rod ends or ball joints or should inspect them and go on with my day? What kind of mileage do you expect to get out of tie rod ends and ball joints?

Thanks for the advise.

Not sure if those have grease fittings or not. I think the old tie rod ends with grease fittings have the potential for longer service life provided they were serviced/greased regularly. I would look for a kit that would complete the intended lowering. It should provide all the necessary parts including tie rods if needed.
