Default Rear end kicks when accelerating sometimes??

Hey I have an 03 chevy silverado 1500 Z71 which for some reason while I'm cruzing at like 30 mph or whatever and I go to hit the gas to speed up some I feel some kind of kick from the rear end, it doesn't happen all the time. Any ideas??? Also it supposedly needs a shift solenoid in the tranny, could a bad shift solenoid cause it to do that

Before you tear into anything, check to see if the rear axle is firmly attached to the chassis. It's probably not that, since that would be an easy fix. Good luck.
