Default Replacing O2 Sensor 1 Bank 1

Hi all, I'm trying to replace the O2 sensor in my wife's 2003 Z71 Silverado. From the videos I've seen, it looked like a pretty simple job. However, the connector is up behind the drive shaft and transmission and I can't reach it.

Has anyone else run into this and how did you fix it? Thanks!

its held to a clip....pry it off the clip with a long trim tool...spray the barb with penetrating fluid first to ease removal...with it unclipped you should be able to move the wiring to where you can reach it.

Is it necessary to remove the drive shaft?

Managed to get the job done today. I did have to drop the 4WD drive shaft, but didn't have to remove it. Just lowered it out of the way to reach the wire harness. The O2 sensor was seriously stuck in there and was a pain to remove. Not sure why, but it stripped some of the threads in the bung, so I was having trouble getting the new sensor in. After re-tapping the threads, the new sensor went in just fine.
