Replacing trans lines on 04 Silverado
Should I replace the fittings in the transmission while replacing the trans lines? Will they come out easily or could the threads be ruined during removal?

if they are not leaking don't change them. don't unthread anything. the lines are removed by moving the plastic lock off the clip. remove the wire clip with a 90* pick and pull the line from the fitting.
to install put the clip in place, put the line into the fitting...its should lock...try to pull it out...it should not pop out with the clip in place. install the plastic clip lock.
use oem lines. I have had nothing but problems using aftermarket lines...they don't lock in properly.
