Default Rims and Suspension Question

Hello, I have an 03 Silverado 1500 and it’s on stock 16’ rims and it’s at stock height. I got some 26’s that are low profile and I wanna put them on. But the last time I went to a shop to have someone put them on for me they said that it would damage the suspension. So would I need a leveling kit or lift?

I am sorry Alex but most of us only have a limited time to help people who are having real problems with their GM vehicles, and what you ask for is a modification of your stock tires and wheels. Maybe someone else can make a post, but I have to get some sleep for work tomorrow, so I can make money/ Best of luck to you.
