Service 4wd light
On my 2000 Chevy Silverado the service 4wd light comes on and the 4wd will not engage. Lights on 4wd buttons come on for a second and then go off. After reading about same problem others were having on this forum I changed the 4wd actuator and 4wd buttons out and also cleaned 2 ground wires under drivers door.all fuse’s are goo.parts are getting expensive. Does anyone have anymore suggestions. Can’t afford to take it to shop.

have no idea i don't have one. they used to be pneumatic and air leaks on the tube used to be the common gig to fix.
i would guess your on a solenoid. you can remove the solenoid, put 12V on it to see if it "pushes". if it "does nothing" then get a solenoid that "makes noise, moves, when 12V are on it". i'm sure there's 100 youtubes on changing the 4wd actuator solenoid right?
