Default Start and die

I have a 99 GMC Sierra pickup 5.3 jump starting a welder generator and the generator shorted out to itself while the truck was still hooked to it running at 120 amps
truck ran until we shut it off now it just starts and dies cannot figure it out replace a bunch of fuses that were blown please help

Also the cluster is shorted out no security lights

If you have checked all fuses, including under the hood as well as near the driver's side door on the dash's side, then you may need to start looking at the alternator for a starting point.

Though I would also point out that you should be sure to check the fuses correctly. If you are using a multimeter and checking for continuity between both prongs on the fuse while it is still in place, that is not the best way to verify the fuse's integrity. It really does need to be pulled before doing that kind of test. The underlying wiring can lead to a false positive continuity. Assuming your fuses are good though, the alternator could've been fried. It's easy to access, so I'd recommend taking it to your parts store and having them test it. See where this gets you and report back.
