Default Truck does not Start

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500. Tried to start it yesterday 10 degrees outside. It started and I backed it up then it stalled and would not re-start. Now it just sounds like it not getting and gas the battery is new and it turns over just will not run.????

Basics: Air, fuel and spark. You need to check them, particularly the spark. Could be a fuel issue, with freezing temperatures. Does the fuel pump make any buzzing
noise when you first turn the ignition on? If you can heat up the engine compartment, it MIGHT start up.after anything is unfrozen due to the sub -32F temperatures.Any code lights showing? What motor do you have?

I will start checking all. Funny things was it has been running just fine and it started and ran then just stopped and would not re-start. Fuel pump does not seem to be making any noise. I did manage to get the truck back into the garage and have an electric heater in front of it. No code lights showing. Should I do a Code check? Not sure how to do that. The motor is the 5.3. Thanks

Some auto parts stores will loan you an OBD II code reader, or you can buy one.

It simply plugs into a wedge shaped terminal under the drivers side of the dashboard,

It will work on any car, SUV or pickup made from 1996 and onward, not just Chevrolet vehicles. .
