Default Truck dying while driving??

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4WD with the 5.3 and 4L60 and for the last few months the truck has been dying intermittently. Before it happens the truck will jolt forward while losing power, I first started at lower speed but is now happening at highway speeds as well. I’m a general service mechanic and so I hooked up my scanner and watched the fuel pressure and injector live data but didn’t get any conclusive results.my gut is telling me it’s a fuel pump or sending unit but because the live data was reading perfect I have become very confused. If anyone has had this problem please share what the problem was and how you fixed it.

It could be losing fuel, but it could also be losing air. My interpretation of your symptom "while losing power" makes me think that it's still running, but is very weak until it completely shuts down, is that accurate? If so, I'd also verify that your air filter/intake isn't clogged and also check your MAF sensor, I was having some idling issues and throttle response issues, but after using some MAF cleaner, it really made a big difference as it now idles beautifully.
