Truck turns over but wont start
I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado that I recently put into the shop for a mechanics oil guage to be installed in my truck (the cluster went out on it and it was the cheapest fix). After driving it back home, I parked it for the evening but when I came back to it the next day, it refused to start. It will crank for as long as you have the key turned but about 5 seconds into cranking, the security light (car with a lock in it) comes on and burns solid. I am at a loss on what it could be other than the security system preventing it from starting. Can someone help me with that?

It is quite possible that the key transporder (located within keyhole on the steering column) is not able to 'read' a signal from your key.
If you have another car-key, try with it.
It is also possible that the transporder it self died.
Best way to make sure is to read codes? Do you have any kind of a scan tool?
