Default Turn off daytime running lights

2000 K3500 LS
So I tried the push button three times, and it didn't work.
Any other way to do it????

On my 98 Chevy K-1500 you press the parking brake pedal down *one* notch, and it will shut off the DRL's. I couldn't get them to shut off any other way.

Wouldn't the light in the dash be on????
Don't want that.

I've tried a few different way.
The push buttom didn't work, no matter how many time I pressed it.
Did see the silver box under the dash.
Pulled the DRL fuse and lights still came on.
Any other ways I might try??????

None that I know of. No there are no lights on the dash. The GMT-400's are better then the GMT-800's in lots of ways. I'm keeping mine till I croak, since it's made with few Chinese parts. The new Chevy 5.3 liter is nor an impressive motor at all

I MIGHT upgrade to the newer FI, but I've had no issues to justify that upgrade at all. All my injectors are working very fine. They stay that way as I dont use cheap gas, and run a bottle of PEA (Techron complete) down the gas tank twice a year..
