Just joined and hoping some of you can help me decide what to do on my truck. I have a 2004 Silverado K3500 dually with the stock wheels that are 16"x6.5 inches wide. I purchased 4 new aftermarket aluminum dually wheels in a kit. I'm supposed to reuse my stock steel wheels on the inside. My dilemma is the new wheels are only 16"x6 wide and the truck is a 4x4. So can I run the stock steel 6.5" wide wheels on the inside and the new aluminum 6" wide wheels on the outside and still use four wheel drive? I can purchase some 6" wide steel dually wheels 88-00 but I may have to grind out centers to fit on my 04. 116mm vs 116.7mm hub.
Thanks
Steve
