I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado crew cab 4 door with a 4.8 liter 6 lug 2wd with a 5 3/4 foot bed. I took it in for an alignment and was told I need a lower ball joint, tie rod ends tightened, play on the steering box and discolored steering and brake fluids and to repair was going to be $2000. I can replace upper and lower control arms with ball joints and bushings, tie rods, and sway bars for less than half that. But after finding a kit with all this together it said it would not fit a truck with a 5 3/4 foot bed. When I go to GM parts web site or Oreilly's it doesn't ask about the bed. Can anyone verify that the 6 foot and 5 3/4 foot beds have different front ends? If so can you suggest where to get the correct parts?
