I have a 2009 Silverado 4x4 5.3L and have had a slew of issues since I bought it. Bought it at 92k with only 2 previous owners. First issue was I was at a stoplight when it began to idle hard with a chugging noise almost and then I noticed my check engine light and my stabilitrak light blinking with hard shifting as I tried to accelerate. I stopped at another stoplight and the lights went off and the truck ran fine. Made an appt to get it checked out anyway and got a spark plug misfire on plug 1(whatever that code is). They also noticed my oil levels were down and so they put a ring/seal around my oil pan cap and cleaned out the oil pan as GM had instructed in a bulletin for oil consumption on these trucks. They also cleaned the cylinders while they were at it. I have since put on all new spark plugs since it's easy to do and figured that would be one less thing to worry about. Well fast forward about 3-4 months and it did the same exact thing to me while I was at a stop light. Check engine and stabilitrak light were blinking with a hard idle and hard shifting. Any ideas?! I've already put enough money into this truck that is now at 101,995 miles and not sure how much more i want to spend on this if things like this will keep happening. I've only had the truck a year! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
