Question 2012 1500 That's Been Sitting For Years

Hi guys, I've got a bit of a small project.

I've inherited a 2012 1500 4x4 Crew Cab LTZ w/ a 5.3L V8, 6 Speed that had previously been running great, but has been sitting dormant outside for 5-6 years. I'm more of a computer hardware geek, not an automotive gear head, but I can research and figure things out. From what I've read, I'm planning to:

- clean any animal crud out of the engine bay
- change oil filter & oil and the engine air filter
- pull and inspect the plugs, spray some fogging oil in the cylinders
- drain the gas tank (Can I siphon or do I have to drop it? Should I include any additives in the fresh gas?)
- new battery
- manually crank the crankshaft before ignition to make sure it's not seized

Am I missing any other crucial steps? Any tips or suggestions appreciated, thanks!

As a side note, I know this is an LTZ but it's missing the LTZ badging. This truck doesn't show me any signs at all of it having been modified or messed with otherwise. I guess previous owners could've taken it off but is there any other reason it wouldn't have had the badging?
