Default Buying a Silverado - Advise

Hey guys... Giving up on my Dodge, switching back to Chevy and looking to get a used Silverado. Looking to get a 2010 4x4, hopefully 6.5" bed, automatic, bench seat, and extended cab, maybe the 1.5 cab vs the full double.

Looking for advice. I'm tired of buying stuff after tonnes of reading, only to discover common issues later that, unless you search specifically for that issue you never find it.

Hoping for some advice... What to look/check for, avoid, which engine is better, etc...

I'm both big and tall which is why I need a truck. I won't be hauling anything, just garbage and lawn sweeping. Probably camping with it. I don't need to worry about towing capacity and such.

Thanks

Forgot the age... Looking at around 2010... Dodge ate up so much money this year and because of covid where I worked shut down so, budget is tight. That said, I'm done with old cheap vehicles with high mileage. In Canada a 2010 4 door under 200,000km seems to average $11,000-13,000.

That said, I'm not in the USA, so no rust belt... Ontario is all rust.

I wish I could go to Texas and bring one up but no passport, no idea how, plus again, covid.

I had a 06 crew cab I loved, was a company lease. If I haden't hit a deer with it, I'd have bought it when the lease was over. You might look online for a truck, getting anything out of Texas or this part of the country isn't cheap. Pickups go for a large premium. There are some bulk dealers in Nebraska that you might find something.
