2012 Silverado 1500 4x4 won’t work it sounds like it will shift into 4 low but on rear tires will spin 4 high does nothing if anyone knows anything about it please help me

and the four wheel drive light will not come on

 

Probably the front axle actuator is wasted. Its an easy job, unit is around 65 bucks, Don't forget to put some dielectric grease
in the connector to keep water out,
