I recently bought a 2012 2500 hd. I tried to use cruise control the other day ave nothing, it didn’t work. No light comes on steering wheel control and no light on dash. I check the fuse and it’s fine. Where should I start to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks

 

did you push the button to turn on the cruise control's controls? its center right of the cruise control. it should light up orange

 

Try lifting up on the brake pedal and see if the cruise lights. The switch for it is in the brake switch.

 

I have a 2012 Silverado z71 ltz I purchased recently, the air bag had been deployed but the cruise control was functioning properly. I had to replace the clock spring as the ends were messed up. After replacing the clock spring the cruise light comes on but the cruise will not activate. I replaced the brake switch and still will not activate. I took the truck to my local chevy dealer and they said the cruise control switch was bad, they replaced but that did not correct the issue. I thought maybe the replacement clock spring was bad so autozone exchanged it and that did not correct the issue. I am at my wits end! I don't know of anything else to check! Please help

 

hey did you figure it out ? crazy enough I have the exact same story. “ airbag deployed, cruise still worked. changed clockspring and no more cruise control”.
