Concerned about undercarriage rust on used truck for sale
Hello, I work for a non-profit and we are considering purchasing this truck (bad timing right now I know), it's a 2010 Silverado with 96,000 miles in a northern state (lots of salt on roads).... I don't know enough about whether this is an acceptable amount of rust, and whether some of the holes I see are supposed to be there or not? Any advice? I'm not great with trucks but I do have to drive em for work and I was a bit alarmed to see this underneath...
pretty standard for anything in the rust belt. the pics show surface rust on very beefy frame members...surface rust would not bother me. brake and fuel lines, cab corners, rocker panels seem to rust thru first abd none of that is shown.
your best bet is to have a professional do a safety inspection....$120 buys a lot of piece of mind.
