Default cyclical noise and steering shaking on breaking

I drive a 2010 silverado ltz 5.3 l

my post is a two part entry.

First off while driving at speed roughly 60 km/h. whenever breaking the steering wheel will shake . I assume this could be a rotor issue. From a cost perspective I would attempt this fix first as its the cheapest diy fix.

That brings me to my second part. While driving I also hear a repeating noise ( wow wow wow wow) and feel a slight vibration with my left foot on the floor mat. Leading me to think it could be a tire defect. But, also been told other potential issues. I don't feel a griding while turning left or right while in a parking lot so I'm kinda ruling out bearings failing .*

I don't physically see damage on the tire or rim and the weights are intact. The tires are also less than two years old.

next time you're at highway speed try slightly swaying back and forth, if the noise changes or gets louder while doing this you most likely have a wheel bearing that's going out.

generally if you only feel the steering wheel shake when you're braking they the rotors are probably warped and need turned or replaced, depending how your pads are or how badly warped the rotors are they may need done also.

Have the tires rotated and balanced to see if anything changes. This should be done regularly anyway.

Had the same problem on stopping with the steering wheel shake. The rotors were so worn out. I did not even think about having them turned. Found out that where I live it cost just about as much as to buy new ones. Plus I do not have to worry about over heating. I put on power stop rotors, they run cooler. I ordered mine off ebay from
autoanything. Here is the product it is located under:

Power Stop Z23 Brake Kit - Front Wheel Brake Kit
1997 Chevy Tahoe
(4WD)

I have ordered several parts from them, I am rely please with there products and there service. They are a great company to order from.

I hope this helps.
