Default Is this a deal or keep looking

Looking to buy a newer model Silverado and saw one today a 2013 LT with a little over 150,000 miles. The price is around $17,000. I currently have a 2000 Silverado with the 5.3 with over 300,000 miles and it’s still running strong. Just wondering if the newer model especially 2013 are having any problems knowing this is a high mileage truck. Should I stay away from this deal? Also would I be able to get an extended warranty from GM on this vehicle.

Those two trucks have very different engines. I'd be leery. I'm not a fan of any of GM's AFM engines. I think it's a fundamentally flawed design, and will never buy one.

My best friend now owns my '01 Burb. It's up to 225k and the engine still runs perfectly.

Thanks for the reply. I have been doing some research and I agree that there are too many complaint about the AFM and lifters problem. There is also another problem with the vibration at speed of 50-70 MPH. They are being told that that is normal which is a bunch of bologna. I will wait this one out or start looking at a F-150. I am replacing the fuel pump in my 2000 silverado this weekend and she should give me another 2 or 3 hunderd thousand miles.
