Default diesel newbie

hello...i hope i'm posting this in the right place...i'm sure someone will tell me if I'm not. I'm Richard and I just bought a 2009 Silverado 3500HD w/the 6.6 Duramax and 6-speed Allison a week ago. Found it in an auction in South Georgia...and after only seeing it in photos, drove it 1000 miles straight home to massachusetts. Other than the current price of diesel, had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I'm hoping i can find out what the truck was equipped with from the factory. it has a very nice flat bed (with goose neck hitch) on it now as well as what appear to my uneducated eyes to be very expensive aftermarket rims and tires. while they are extremely nice-looking....i am almost certainly going to go with a more work-oriented tire very soon. i did not receive an owners manual with my purchase unfortunately, so i'll definitely be looking to find one of those and would love to stumble on a shop manual if one is to be had...this is my first diesel engine, my first double alternator engine and first one ton truck....and it took about 50 miles of my 1000 mile trip to instantly regret waiting this long to get one. i've driven GM almost exclusively since 2000....starting with an '01 Tahoe (which was a dealer's special order and came with a "Denali" package or the equivalent of such)...how I lost that truck is a story for another time.,...but after it, i kinda got stuck on 2003s....first a 2003 GMC yukon XL Denali for about 225,000 miles....i feel like it would still be running except the transmission quit. i don't know now but i thought i'd fix that truck for several years...but I had an '03 Escalade at the time that needed things that were easier to fix than a transmission and so it basically became a parts truck for that AND for my wife's Escalade...also a 2003 model...lol... wasnt much left of the Yukon when I finally got both Escalades completely road ready. And I just became so confident that I literally could not be stranded in those trucks as long as I had a good set of wrenches, that I never thought about buying anything that didn't have that 6.0 vortec in it. Until this 3500 duramax. anyway...i cant wait to get started learning more about it and hopefully hearing from a few guys with knowledge of it and that can maybe help me figure out whats factory and what isn't on my truck...i'll post a few photos (only have ones i took still at the auction yard, as it has been a blizzard here in MA since I got home...so she's a little dusty..) and the VIN number if there are any code decipherers out there. ty. looks like i need a little practice at uploading pics as well...sheesh
