I've been having issues with door locks on my 2007 Chevy Silverado Z-71. I've experienced every once in a while that when I unlock doors with FOB, only the Driver door unlocks and the others seem like not enough power to unlock them. I do hear the actuator work, but the more I press unlock button, the weaker it sounds. This only happens every once in a while, but seems like always when you need passenger door unlocked. Also, I have an issue with the front passenger window not working with the master switch on driver door. Window works fine when I use the passenger door button. I'm not sure if this is a related issue or completely separate one. Any ideas what it could be or how to resolve this issue???

 

the door lock actuators are notoriously bad. Gruvenparts, a vender sponsor on this site has a fix for the door locks. have a look before you buy parts from the dealer.

the window issue may be a bad driver door master switch/driver door module...which will be a dealer only part and may or may not require programming from the dealer.

 

Appreciate the response above. Yes as was mentioned the OEM door lock motors get weak over time and just dont have enough juice to move the mechanism, so it gets lazy, sometimes half locking/unlocking, sometimes not locking/unlocking at all, other times working fine. Very unreliable, and unnerving to have power door locks that kinda sorta sometimes maybe work, especially on a big vehicle where its difficult to reach back and manually lock/unlock the doors. Let me know if you have any specific questions, we have had good success with our new high torque motors.
