i started this thread to help people add-on factory options to thier truck.(without major surgery)please feel free to post your own expieriences,but please no hypothetical situations.if youve added a feature succesfully to your truck then post.
so far in my own expierence.Ive added 1)factory fog lights 2)DIC switch feature 3)radio steering wheel switch(must have cruise option and you will need to change the clockspring harness).there are videos on you tube for 1,2,3.
the options i am looking into currently are the rain sensing wipers,parking assist,and side mirrors upgrade(i currently have power heated and would like the turn signal and possible puddle light feature)not sure which features my harness will work with!

so i saw a video on youtube that shows a guy adding power folding mirrors to his tahoe by simply changing the door switches and mirrors.so i purchased the drivers side door switch with the powerfolding option.IT IS NOT PLUG and PLAY.the wiring harness is totally different so learn from my experience.thankfully i never bought the passenger side or the mirrors.this will only work if your truck was an ltz from the factory and you have the correct wiring harness in the door.hope this helps anyone from making the mistake i did..my truck is an 07 silverado lt with power heated mirrors .
