Default I got me a new toy, a 2010 Silverado LS

Even though I already own a beautiful 2004 Tahoe LT, I know very little about Silverados. Just like I did with my Tahoe I would like to learn and know as much about my new addition to my stable as possible. The first thing I noticed when I looked into the glove compartment looking for the RPO label that i am familiar with from my Tahoe, it wasn't there. I also looked at the door jambs and under the hood - nothing. Question: Where do I find the RPO label that tells me about every nut and bolt that is in that truck. Also my truck has the 4.8 ltr engine. Question: Does this engine have AFM (Active Fuel Management) and VVT (Variable Valve Timing). I would appreciate if somebody could answer these questions to get started.

Welcome from Florida. Your engine does not have VVT or AFM.

Thanks, I consider that good news. Do Silverados have a RPO label attached somewhere?

I just found it. It's called Service Parts Identification. It was in the glove compartment just like the Tahoe has it, but so faded that I didn't even notice it. I cleaned it up and took a picture with my HD iphone camera and now I have it in my file. I guess I answered my own question.

Pls correct me if I am wrong. Going through my service parts list I came across code L20 which I believe is the code for my engine. Looking up that code it says AFM=No and VVT=Yes. Do you think that's correct?
