Default More rubber or new shocks

General question I just bought a 2007.5 1500 LTZ. It has a 6" rough country lift with 33x12.50x22
It rides a bit rougher than it should. I have never had 22" rims always a 16 or 17" and I am curious how much the lower profile is causing a rough ride.
Or is it simply time for new shocks.
Appreciate the thoughts on this
