no 4wd
I have a 2009 Silverado lt 4x4. 3 days ago the 4wd lights on the dash stopped working and the 4wd stopped working.i took it into a dealership and had them put it on there scope and it showed code co321, transfer case module lock circuit open.
they said I needed the front differential lock actuator (part #26060073) and for $320 they could put one in. I got the part and put it in this morning for $70 and the 4wd is still not working. I have one light on on the 4wd switch in the cab and it shows that I am in 4hi. I am not in 4 hi I am in 2wd. when I start the truck the light goes directly to 4hi but I know that I am in 2wd. when I turn the switch no lights come on.
I removed the motor off of the transfer case ( I do not know why) and tried to move the gear that is on it, I cannot turn this gear even with pliers. should I be able to turn it or not? I know that there are a lot of posts on this subject but I cannot find one to help me. A new transfer case motor is $400 and would rather not buy one unless I have to. I have power to the motor. 12v on a red wire and about 6v on a blue and white wire.
any help or suggestions would be appreciated

I really need to know if I should be able to turn the gear on transfer case motor.

I watched a video on youtube that a guy made. He took the motor off and was able to turn the gear with pliers, which put it back in 2wd when he was stuck in 4wd. I've also read a few post about people doing it to get out of being stuck in 4wd. If yours is not moving I just wonder if it's an internal issue. I know that's not a lot of help but I thought I'd add that info. I have a problem with mine not switching out of 4wd so I'm doing a ton of research on the 4wd topic. If I run across anything that relates to yours I will pass it along. I'm not sure about the actuator but I did read that the encoder motor does need programmed. I read you can do this yourself by pressing the e-brake, press and hold your brake pedal, turn your key to accessory and put your transmission in neutral. Then select 2hi, 4hi, or 4low and wait a few seconds and it'll go to your selection. I have no first hand experience with this. This is just all that I have found researching.

Yes I saw the same video. The gear that he turned is in the transfer case and mine is part of the transfer case motor. That is what is not turning is the transfer case motor off of what I believe to be a NQH transfer case. When I removed the motor off 9f my transfer case, that is when it came out of 4wd. It was stuck in also.
Thanks for info
