How you doing everyone my name is Anthony and I have 2010 silverado 1500 4.8 extended cab 4wd roughly 121156 on it. Well I had the truck almost 2 years now and only got to drive it for about 4 months. Here's why..
So here's the problem. I changed the radio in it. Everything was fine. Until I started the truck and the radio played fine I turned it off pulled the key out and bang truck still running. Blew me away. Then after a few days it seemed to work itself out. Then the key started to get sticky when trying to take it out of the ignition. Then a few days after that leaving one store to another I dropped stuff off in the truck walked away hit the lock button a few times I get a little further away I hear it start. Instantly I think someone is trying to steal it. So I run up to an empty truck. Then thee stereo starts acting funny and the truck has problems starting up happened right after winter. Then it was fine. Then started running funny brought it to a local shop nothing. Then heading out one day I pull off to the side of the road to let an emergency vehicle pass I'm thinking it's just tall grass and bang broke passanger side front shock get it repaired fine. Then I put in a chip that ties into mass air Flo sensor. No problems changed headlights no problems drove to store 1 morning half the key broke off so I use a screw driver for a few days. Got a new 1. I replaced the cylinder it would only start if I used the key fob locked it and unlocked a few times. Then stereo shorted out changed it with same 1 and next morning went to store forgot my wallet turned around went home shut it off and no more truck. Been to 3 shops and none even brought it in to look at. I've changed the fuel pump, battery, starter has full power no crank.fuses are good relays good. Code for ignition malfunction security light on.. Anything?

 

Welcome from Florida. Did you have any of these problems before you changed the radio? If you didn't remove the new radio and check all the wires that you might have touched!

 

I've done that. An at first I would have to turn the headlights on or hit the flashers to get the dash to light up. Like the key wasn't waking it up. Keeps throwing p1682
