I have a 09 silverado 6cyl basic single cab truck. I crank the truck and it takes more time than it should for the radio to light up...when it does I can't tune it and there is no sound. I can change several modes(eq,band, etc), but no sound and no tuning

 

Something to check (long shot), a lot of systems have 2 power sources...check ALL your fuses, and (if applicable), the fuse BEHIND the radio..
