Default Replaced transfer case on 09 Silverado 2500 hd gas, gears won't engage?

I replaced the transfer case, and as I shift it will not engage into a gear, it's as if it's in neutral. when I try to put it in park while running it grinds, I do not believe this has anything to do with the shifter cable. Is it possible something is out of alignment? Everything went smooth it didn't even seem like it was that hard of a job don't know what I could've done wrong any help would be appreciated thank you, also it is an electric for will drive

What position was the transfer case when you hooked it up, ex. neutral?

yep the tcase is in neutral...this is a push button tcase correct...remove the encoder motor and manually push the tcase into 2hi...if it works normally, you may have a weak encoder motor...swap your old one to the new tcase.

Default Took Moter off

I took the motor off and but it into gear. Neither of the Motors would work. I even tried having my dad switch the electric 4x4 switched why I watched to see if it was moving and got nothing. I test drive the truck and it moved but as I pressed the accelerator the truck was not going as fast as I was accelerating, I tried several different positions on a transfer and it did the same thing I guess I'm going to take it into a shop.
