I was in a minor front end collision and sustained only minor damage. No airbags deployed and only the front bumper and grill were damaged. The seat belts, however, have both locked up. The belts are retracted and will not release. I assume this is somehow related to the accident but would like to know if I have to purchase new seat belts or can these belts be made to release.

 

You will probably have to get them serviced.

 

no airbag dtc correct?
if its on, check for pretensioners dtc.....pretensioners....some years are in the buckle others in the belt mechanism.
