I have a 2011 Silverado 2500 LTZ. Can anyone tell me if this model vehicle is fitted with a steering wheel lock, the lock that is "activated" when the ignition key is removed to prevent the steering wheel from being turned. (Theft protection) If a lock is not fitted to this model, I would like to know when it came into being that the locks are no longer fitted if anyone knows .

probably not equipped. Most but not all vehicles do not use steering locks anymore. It wasn't a great theft deterrent; the immobilizer system is much better at preventing thefts. I assume this is why they stopped using it.
