I recently got a 2013 Silverado, after driving a Monte Carlo for the last 10 years. I like the truck, but not crazy about the gold bowtie on the tailgate. I would like to remove the gold bowtie completely. But I'm not sure if there are any holes in the tailgate behind the bowtie. Is it held on with just double sided foam tape? Are there any alignment tabs or bolts that go into the tailgate? Basically, I'm wondering if I'll have to fill any holes in the metal once I take the bowtie off.
