Default Torque Converter or Flywheel or is it something else???

hi to everyone,
my vehicle is a 2007 Chevrolet Siverado 1500 LT Ext Cab 4.8 L Engine
i have a noise coming from inside the bell housing. you rarely hear it when my truck is parked and idling, ive never heard it when backing up, once you start driving at around 1100-1300 rpms the noise starts and it changes as your driving and the transmission is going thru its gear changes. the noise sounds like to me is a metal fan blade hitting the tip of a screw and its constant to. when my trucks transmission is going into and out of its 2nd gear the sound changes to a clicking clanging type sound thats not constant, there's maybe half a second between noises. ive had one guy say its a cracked flywheel and others say its the torque converter. any and all help would greatly be appreciated........................

thanks
mike
i forgot to mention that my truck has a automatic transmission.
