What are the Pros and cons of the Vortec 5.3L V8 315hp 335ft. lbs. as far as towing?

More important to have lower axle ratio's for towing.

The engine has enough torque. What rear end ratio does it have? Make sure it has an auxiliary transmission cooler, either factory or after market. Do not tow in overdrive.
