2014 1500 problems
I have a 2014 1500 LT 5.3. Recently had to replace high pressure fuel pump due to hesitation and getting gas in the oil. Replacing that, we also cleaned the intake and throttle body while it was apart. The initial issue was fixed but now the truck is throwing the P0430 and P2099 codes. I've swapped O2 sensors around this did not cause the codes to swap banks also replaced MAF sensor and Map sensor and retraced steps to replace high flow pump to verify no vacuum leaks and everything was plugged up properly. Live reading on fuel is constant and in normal range. Could the high pressure pump still be faulty even though it runs great now? The only symptom I'm getting now is reduced fuel mileage was getting 17mpg before hand now getting 13.5-14.5 on average but the truck runs great. Truck is lifted by 6 inches but has been for 4 years and never an issue up till this. I'm the 2nd owner but have owned the truck since it had 25000 on it now just under 153000. I can have the cats done away (no emissions where I am only safety) with or replaced with high flow at a friends garage he could also flash the PCM but trying to avoid dumping money into it anymore and hoping that solves the problem. It was also after around the 300 mile mark after repair started to throw a code for engine cold for to long and the fans were running on high constantly, replacend the temp sensor and have not had that issue again.
