Cool 2014 Silverado navigation

My 2014 Silverado 1500 z71 has a navigation button on the radio, however when I press it , it shows that there is no GPS. I know the antennae is working, my satellite radio works fine. The previous owner must have used it, I keep getting navigation information from the area the previous owner lived........any suggestions ???

There are two kinds of navigation. One is you have to subscribe to navigation with Onstar and you get in touch with them and then the route is downloaded and the other is full navigation that doesn't require that.
Maybe they had the Onstar version?
The full nav has a different box located behind the glove boxes, I had to purchase that to give me full nav.
