Anyone else have a compressor go on a 2015 Silverado? I didn't even get 2 summers out of mine. I heard about compressor issues with older models but I thought they fixed it. I have been a lifelong Chevy owner, 2 blazers, 2 tahoes, and now this Silverado. I'm beginning to question how well these new trucks are built, never had major issues with past Chevy's. It's disappointing...

GM or Chevrolet, of course, do not design or make the AC compressors. They buy them from the same suppliers as every other make.

 

you can pretty much say that about every component on a vehicle nowadays for every manufacturer.
the oem's buy the technology from the company that designed it.
