2016 Silverado Z71 Spongy brakes- Air in lines
Hi everyone,
I bought a brand new 2016 Silverado Z71 and the first thing I noticed was how heavy duty and tight the brake pedal felt. Over time, it got softer and softer and I even pushed it to the floor at one point. I took it in to the Dealer with less than 3000 miles and they bled the lines. I noticed an immediate improvement then a quick deterioration in about a day. I took it back to the Dealer and they said that this is normal for a Silverado and even offered to let me drive other trucks to compare. They said that there is an active vacuum system that is regulating the brake pressure and this is completely normal. Do i have anything to worry about? Is this normal? Should I be considering other options? Any advice is good advice. Thank you!
