Recently I purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado and wanted the LED Bed Lighting Under Rail kit Part#23295943. Tonight I tried installing this, first off no installation instructions, couldn't believe it. Found on Google the Electrical Block underneath the spare tire. The dummy plug on the right hand side I removed and found out it was an 8 harness dummy plug, but inside this receptacle of the block was totally empty. At the end of the new LED Light Kit was an 6 plug with only two wires going to the new LED lights. So do I have the correct wiring harness with having only a 6 male plug?

Has anyone on this forum ever installed one of these LED Cargo Lamp Installations that go underneath the bed rail?

 

Tonight I found out through the dealership where to mount this kit for a 2017 Silverado. On the buss block it's the far left hand connection point with a 6 pin dummy plug. The dealership mechanic luckily had one of a lift to actually install one, so after dinner tonight that's what I will attempt at installing again. The mechanic told me this year chevy move it from the far right hand connection point of the buss block to the far left hand side and now you do not even have to take the spare tire down. Hope this helps someone else install theirs for the 2017 models.
