Compass reads North all the time

check for body codes if you have a scan tool that will access the body system....code reader won't do this...full function scan tool.
or maybe try a positive battery disconnect...disconnect the neg battery cable, then positive...touch the cables together (away from the battery posts or else bad things happen). connect the positive back to the battery, then negative. Using the driver information center, turn the key on, reset the compass zone variance and calibrate the compass.
