So this post breaks down all the different steps it takes to convert a Silverado to right-hand drive, and I'm just wondering how this makes sense financially? There are seven stations, and overall, over 100 man hours go into this process. I mean, even at $100 bucks and hour — which is stupid low — that comes to $10k. I think the real cost is easily two or three times that, so I just don't understand why Chevy doesn't just build them this way to begin with, if it wants to sell them in Australia. Am I just thinking of this wrong?

 

They do this with the Camaro too, and I just can't figure out how it makes any sense.
