points taken. thanks for sharing. i will probably not be doing much work on the truck, other than routine maintenance, as i've lost interest in that over other activities. can anyone verify that at least one dodge truck has a 4 hour service charge for changing a headlight? a friend told me his friend's truck is that way, but that is extremely hard to believe. something like that would kill any interest in any truck. my '13 subaru headlight replacement takes me about an hour because i don't have extremely small hands and an extra joint in my hand and forearm. it's the worst routing maintenance i've ever seen on a subaru.

completely false.
the service manual method...you could do both headlamps in 15minutes if you know what your doing.
-remove upper rad cover
-remove front grille
-remove headlamp assemblies.

good to hear that it is that easy, but what if you are new to that particular truck? are the fasteners obvious, or do you need a manual (or youtube search these days)? j

nothing is obvious these days. even professionals have to look stuff up the first time...and its slow the first time on new models. we lose money the on warranty work until you know where to go and how to do it.

roger that on "nothing is obvious". people either want to hide stuff for cosmetic reasons, or so you have to take your rig to the dealer. i hear dealers are not making much on sales, so the manufacturer orchestrates difficulty so the dealer can make a little money on repairs. maybe that is just another conspiracy theory; there are many around. cheers. j
