Unhappy Dome Light Issue among others!!

Hello All! I have a 2014 Silverado HD. I installed LED dome light bulbs about 2 years ago. They've worked perfect until about 2 weeks ago. One started flickering a bit so I pulled them out and re-installed the stock bulbs. Somehow during all that, I messed something up. The radio button lights, vanity mirror lights, accessory button lights (exhaust brake, traction control, back up sensor, pedal adjustment button) do not come on. Also, the dome lights come on when the doors open but I cannot turn them on while in the truck with the doors shut.

I disconnected my batteries, checked just about every single fuse in the panel on the side of the dash and under the hood along with everything else I could think of.. I'm pretty mechanical but this has me stumped. I've seen a few write ups online but no one seems to have an answer. Please help!! Thank you all in advance!!

I can only offer two possibles: the first one is that I wonder whether all the lights and other functions are controlled by an on-board computer. I know you've disconnected the battery, but perhaps a code reader can shed some light on whether it's a computer problem.

The other thing is that the only area you've worked on is the light socket area. There's an old saying that when something goes wrong on a vehicle, the first place you check is the last thing that was worked on. I'd take a slow and careful look at the light where you changed the bulbs. Just maybe something will show up. Good luck.

Cowboycoupe, thank you for your reply. I've pulled the whole over head unit out and everything seems to look normal. The light works when the door is open or when I use the dimmer switch to turn it on but not the buttons on both he front lights and the rear dome lights. Also it messed with the radio button lights.. It's so dang confusing.. I hate electrical lol
