Hello everyone,
so the other night I hit a tall curb going about 35mph it was during a storm and the power was out so it was pretty hard to see since it was at a right yield turn. I hit my front left tire on it. And ripped one of the lca bolts in the frame it's not completely out just pushed back. The guys at the tire shop didn't even tell me about it just said that my lca was bent. Pic included. What should I do? its a 2014 silvarado 1500 lt Z71 2wd with 61000 miles. I've got collision and am going to talk to a body shop to see how much it would cost me to get it fixed.
hard to tell from the pictures. if the steering is off-center; you can rest assured the alignment is out...this will quickly wreck the tires. This is not a dyi repair. Let the bodyshop handle it. They will have it aligned and the alignment tech will check the diagnostic angles to determine if anything is bent/hidden damage.
I wondered about this....lets just say it was a new 90 000 diesel pu....are they going to go a 30- 50hrs frame replacement or fix it. Can't see an insurance company writing it off.
