My name is Rachael. I go by Rae. I'm new to the Chevy world. I drive a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT Z71. I'm looking to do a modest lift and level kit to get an all around 2 inch lift. I've looked at the Rough Country 3.5" lift and level but I'm not digging the reviews. With this lift and level I'm looking to bump the wheel size up to a 20" with 33s for the tires. I'd also like to keep the ride as near to or better smoothness wise than factory. So far everyone has just tried to get me to go up to a full 5 inch lift with 35s. While I get that it's an awesome look in the end, I'm juwst not going for something that big. Any input on how to go about achieving this? Any input welcome. I'd love to hear stories on how you did it if this is something that you've already done. Complete newbie so I'm learning here. Wanting to do it myself as much as possible.

 

If you have about an hour of your time and some tools, a leveling kit is super easy to install. I've done quite a few. I have a 2.5" eBay leveling kit on my 2014 and run 20x10 wheels and 275/60(33x11.5") toyo at2 tires. Tire choice plays a lot in ride comfort. It won't ride as good as stock cause the geometry of a levelin kit won't allow it, but it'll be pretty comfy.

 

Thanks for your reply! I'm looking at the Fuel A/T Grippers in a 305/55/20 (33.2 x 12). Think that could work with a 2.5" front end level kit and leaving the rear alone?

 

Really it all depends on the wheel you want to run. Is it a stock 20" wheel? If so then yes those tires will work. If it's a wider wheel with a negative offset, then you'll need to downsize the tire to a 295/55 which really is a 32.5" tire anyways. In that pic I posted I'm runnin 20x10 -25 offset wheels and 295/55 nitto trail grapplers with just a 2.5" leveling kit
