Default Lowering my 2105 2500HD

Noob with this forum and a Diesel.

This truck is everything I need for towing a 5th wheel travel trailer. Since wifey has a fused ankle, we have ordered the Amp running boards for her egress convenience.
After some rough measurements it seems the truck is still too high. The next option is to drop the suspension 2-4 inches. I found some torsion bar cams and shackles that should do the job. But I am concerned that those shackles will disturb the rear end towing stability. I KNOW THIS IS BLASPHEMY for the 4WD folks. Not trying to slam it, just bring her down to earth.

Has anyone attempted this altitude adjustment? Pros? Cons?
