No Gps

No Gps
My navigation shows no GPS, however I get XM radio fine, there is also a red light next to the On-Star button on the rearview mirror. Does the GPS and xm use the same antenna? I have read comments that water in the antenna area caused the GPS to fail.
Update, I recently installed an new "shark fin" antenna and On-Star and GPS are now working......
