Question normal operating range transmission temp?

Hey guys.

My 2017 2500HD double cab longbed 4x4 WT is just great. 6.0 L96 and generic as all get out. It's set up as a quasi-permanent truck camper, with a FWC Grandby pop-up camper mounted out back.

Question I have: when you spin through the dials of digital readout options on the base model, one item you scroll through is a convenient trans temp gauge. Mine seems to run between 130-140 on any given cruise, with hot and humid gridlock traffic days (under one hour of driving max) around 165 degrees.

What is normal? Just curious. This truck has the WT snowplow innards, with trans cooler/oil cooler. Thanks for looking in!

Tech2,
thanks for the feedback. I'm sure after I do some digging I can locate the GM-specified range, but it's just as good to hear from your experience.
Actually, I haven't really paid attention to the display since 90% of the time I'm leaving it on MPH and jogging thru my tire inflation/remaining range displays on our journeys from VA to NH/VT/NY etc.

I'm happy to have the consistency with this truck - no matter the load, what accessories I'm running, or the climate she's been a steady 12.2-12.6 mpg's for a year. That's with the 4.10 gears, 4x4 of course. There's a reason for the 36-gallon tank!!

Love the truck. Thanks for checking in!
